How do I help my student access their classwork online?

Here are different platforms that teachers use. Please contact your teacher directly if you are unsure what they use.

  • Canvas
  • Google Classroom– allows teachers to create classes, post assignments, organize folders, and view work in real-time.
  • Successmaker– is an adaptive learning for intervention, differentiation, and personalization. Every student interaction adjusts instruction in real time to real learning needs. SuccessMaker® delivers tutorials, practice, challenge, and remediation. It instantly adjusts pacing and sequencing.
  • PowerSchool– The parent portal is an online portal accessible anywhere on the web that parents can log in to and see all of their children in one place, their grades, assignments, scores, attendance, schedules, and school bulletins for each school your children attend. If you have one student in middle school and one in high school, parents will see bulletins for both the middle school and high school.

    • How do I get my student’s Powerschool #?
      • Most students know it as their “lunch #” but you can always ask their teacher.

Military Families

    • STPES has a Military Family and Youth Liaison (MFYL) who acts as a communication link between the installation and the school district in order to ease the transition for military students.  The MFYL coordinates and supports efforts to: assess needs, build awareness of resources, and connect those with needs to supportive solutions. To talk to them directly call (910) 678-2433.
    • More opportunities may come available but at this time many are on pause due to COVID.
